Why a Users Summit?
Jen Hutchings
VP, Marketing
NeuCo, Inc
Monday, November 24, 2008

Last week NeuCo announced that its next ProcessLink Users Summit will be held from June 7 to 10, 2009 in Newport, Rhode Island. This event, which is held every twelve to eighteen months, takes a ton of blood, sweat (and sometime tears) by people from all aspects of our company, not to mention by our customers.

“So why do it?” I was once asked. Despite the considerable investments involved, the Summit is in my opinion one of the most important things we do as a company. It’s amazing how many great ideas are hatched and how much momentum is gained when you gather together the users, implementers, purchasers, influencers, supporters, considerers, developers and visionaries of artificial intelligence (A.I.) based optimization.

For NeuCo it’s a motivator, an eye opener, and an insight generator. We use the feedback from the Summit to determine how we can grow and evolve ProcessLink technology, solutions and processes so we can deliver greater value.

For customers, it’s a chance to learn and teach… to provide feedback, benefit from others’ experiences, share best practices, hear case studies, take part in training, and get the latest industry updates.

For me, the relationships are what make it most worthwhile. It’s a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with customers from all over the nation and beyond and get immersed in their worlds. In this industry where personal relationships matter, being able to really get to know the people behind the companies is important – to look each other in the eye and know there’s a mutual level of trust. And, of course, to be able to relax and share a laugh with old friends and new ones after a long day is not so bad either.

So why hold a Users Summit? I encourage you to see for yourself by joining us June 7-10, 2009 in Newport, RI at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I look forward to seeing you there!
